Lilly Pilly Jam?!?

The lilly pilly tree...

It's the neighbour's... But since it overgrew into our side of the fence... It's fair game for plucking! That's Nadia's logic... =x And so I followed her to harvest some fruits...

The lilly pilly is a relative of a much larger fruit known as "jambu air" in Singapore... When i first bite the lilly pilly... I found the taste very familiar! It's much smaller (berry-size), but is more flavourful and sweeter then the jambu air.

Making it into a jam...

In the main time... Mix some of the cooked with yogurt for a delicious treat!

Freshly cooked jam over bread crust... It's really quite good!

Final product! I wonder... How did it get so purple?
